The Institute for Web Science and Technologies (WeST) was founded in October 2009 at the University of Koblenz-Landau, Germany, and deals with the basic IT infrastructure of the 21st century: the World Wide Web. Research and development concerns, on the one hand, the technical aspects of the web as an open, globally distributed, networked system.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:
Requirements are Very good Master’s degree in computer science or adjacent discipline, acquired from a University or a similar. We expect outstanding analytical skills, very good programming abilities and some first experiences in the respective topics.
Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.

English language Requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
